On this rainy day I was wondering what others do on their rainy days. For me, it is D. Sometimes I solve puzzles, sometimes (as in today) I looked for places I could potentially hide caches on maps, and on at least one occasion we were on vacation and it rained the whole week, so my wife and I went out in the pouring rain and found caches anyway just out of sheer boredom!

Agreed on D as well. I try and cache whenever possible, but if it's just not possible in torrential storms, I'll solve puzzles or plan ahead for future hides.

Rainy days during the week .. are perfect, because they help against the "I'd rather be hiking" feeling while stuck in the office. Rainy weekends suck, but depending how bad my get-me-outta-here fever is, I go hiking anyway. Puzzles .. I solve when I can't think of anything better to do, which is kinda rare, and usually limited to blizzardy penguiny winter nights
. As for the hiding, I originally thought that I would move back to Switzerland "any day" and that hiding caches over here didn't make any sense, but then weeks turned into months turned into years. So when I got my hands on a pile of ammo cans this May .. it was time to start a-hidin'
I like to hike far, and thus I prefer "holes" that are waaay out there, my two most recent hides are still waiting for the FTF more than a week after publishing

I've seen where you're placing the in NJ. I'm definitely intrigued, but I need some time to get those. During the Summer I have the kids a lot, so hiking grinds to a halt. I'm still focusing on Harriman, so it may be a while until I get those. The good thing is that your caches won't get muggled. No ones going there!

Re: A Rainy Day Poll
I got my best FTF day in the rain. 7 FTF's with a golf umbrella. And I met bacmac coming in all sopping wet as I was heading out. They forgot their umbrella.
I got bacmac's Calirfornia Hill series in a blizzard. Had to abort at first due to all the accidents around me but went right back early the next morning in over 2 feet of snow.
I believe in the US Mail motto. Neither rain nor sleet nor snow.

Hey, Grschmid.... I thought you believed in the motto: "Trails? I don't need no stinking trails!"
